The New Year is right around the corner. Since it’s a very busy time of the year, it’s nice when you find yourself with a little free time. If you want to use this time to enjoy a great holiday movie with your kids, we’ve put together a list of the best kids holiday movies.
All five movies are on Netflix, so you can easily enjoy any of them during the upcoming weeks:
1. Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
If your child loves live action movies, you will definitely want to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas together. This fun flick starts out with The Grinch set on robbing Whoville of Christmas. But once he comes into contact with little Cindy Lou Who and her dash of kindness, he has to reconsider his plans.
2. Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas
The animation style of this movie is very appealing to younger children. The movie centers around the fact that even though George and the Man in the Yellow Hat are having a merry time counting down to Christmas, neither one can decide what present to give each other.
3. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas
This animated holiday movie is actually adorable. If you’re short on time, it’s the perfect choice because it combines three stories into a runtime of just over one hour. The three stories you’ll definitely enjoy watching together are: The Gift of the Magi, Duck Tales, and A Very Goofy Christmas.
4. Kung Fu Panda Holiday
Looking for a very lively holiday that you can enjoy with your kids? Then this DreamWorks movie is the perfect pick. With voice acting from Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, and Dustin Hoffman, you and your kids will have a ton of fun regardless of whether you’ve seen any of the other Kung Fu Panda movies.
5. The Legend of Frosty the Snowman
The original Frosty the Snowman movie aired on television in 1969. Although Netflix doesn’t currently have this version available to stream, they do have The Legend of Frosty the Snowman, which was made in 2005. With a plot that centers around Frosty the Snowman bringing holiday magic to local children, this movie has everything you want from a great holiday flick.
From every member of the All About Kids in Lewis Center team, we want to wish you and your children a very Happy Holiday!
